I have the smaller version of this kit but wanted the larger set with more tools because the small set was great. I have all these tools, but this set keeps them all together in one place and that is handy. When I’m in the shop I can grab the tools I need from various toolboxes, but when I’m away from the shop, this is more convenient. All the tools are good quality and durable and a joy to use. The case is a typical molded plastic case, and some tools are difficult to pull out while others fall out when you open the case, but that’s life in a plastic world. Most of the tool kits I purchase come in these molded plastic cases and they are all the same. This set is no different, however the tools though hard to get out, do stay put when carrying them around. I think it would be nice if the case came with a tool extractor to help get the sockets out since they are the hardest thing to remove.

Beautiful and work great- very strong! Only thing was that the torque wrenches were smudged as if ‘used’ possibly.. but after trading in for another new set, same thing.. so maybe just tested at the factor like this..?

I bought it, got it on time, and Dewalt. I mean there really isn’t much to say. But for some reason when I opened the kit It smelled so bad I had to spray them with carb cleaner. It didn’t help much but it did make it smell less.

Quality set for home garage
Ordered this set for use on my vehicles. First project was replacing a water pump on my 1996 Bronco. Used the 1/4” and the 3/8” ratchets and shallow and deep wall sockets plus extensions. Removed and replaced everything from hose clamps to large bolts, and this set performed flawlessly. Feels good in the hand and has what you need. A big plus of this set is that the sockets are 6 point, as opposed to 12 as my old set was. The 6 point does a much better job of contacting the bolt head and allows for more force and less chance of rounding…a must when removing old bolts.Only nitpicks are there is no 1/2” deep wall for the 3/8 ratchet, and some of the pieces are very difficult to get out of the blown plastic case. The case is of decent quantity, however, and I’d rather the pieces stay in firmly than fall out when closed. Overall 4.5/5, would recommend.

Great everything tool box
Has everything you need for a general mechanic. I do my own oil changes and stuff and it works perfectly. Highly recommend. I did by it on sale I don’t recall the price. But worth it for sure.

My dad said he needed a better tool box and I figured this would be the perfect Father’s Day gift. I saw a review video on here and as soon as they opened the box I said damn that’s sexy (another sign that I’m getting old). When it came in the mail and I opened the box, I said the same thing again lol. Heavy asf but has everything you could ask for. If this is how kids feel when they walk in a candy store, then this is how adults must feel when they see a good a tool box.

At first I was very happy with the quality and quantity of wrenches and sockets in this very large and very heavy set of tools. Honestly not that keen on these Dewalt ratchets but that is a personal choice I’m sure they probably work fine just not as comfortable as what I prefer. I sent my set back because it is too large for my intended vehicle use and even worse the socket retention in the blow molded case is awful. Really shocked Dewalt would have done this. Many of the sockets were so tight in the case you had to pry them out of their pockets. Some sockets were not tight and that was just as bad. Same with the wrenches. I suspect this would be a hard set of tools to use because of this issue and that was my main reason for returning them. I found another brand of tools that used a different style of case and the sockets in that are retained on posts instead of form fitted in compartments. I bought it for emergency use and it would be awful to be stuck on a road in the dark and having to fight to get the sockets out of the case. Shame on you Dewalt shame on you. Now if someone is using them for home use probably not as big a deal and again tool quality appeared to be fine with the Dewalt set. The case itself is a one star and the tools probably a 5 star rating. I would have had to throw the case away and buy something usable to store the tools in. Gotta tell it like it is I’m surprised they have been selling this kit for several years they should know better.
