Reliable, Rugged and Fast. Perfect for Video Editing
I am incredibly pleased with this product. In fact, I just purchased my second one. I do a lot of video editing (mostly 4 K), and this works perfectly.My first one is about a year and a half old and has been problem-free. I love that it is small enough to be easily portable, rugged, and looks great.It’s worth noting that the cable that comes with it is relatively short, but that’s important – You want a short run for higher data rates. If you decide to purchase a longer cable, you will want to keep it as short as possible and ensure that it is for high-speed data transfers so your throughput does not suffer.

Good capacity solid-state drive
I like this little drive. It has good capacity, and it’s straightforward to use. It comes with a short cord, USB-C to USB-C, and an adapter to make one of those into a USB-3. The adapter only works in one orientation (USB-C is reversible, but USB-3 is not). If you don’t get a good connection, then rotate the adapter to the other side and plug it into the end of the cord again. Computer recognition of the drive is a little slow and takes a few seconds. File transfer is moderate. It’s not blazing fast, but it doesn’t fry itself, either.

Good value but finicky on Mac
This drive is fast and a good value, but after 6 months, I can say that it’s rather finicky on a Mac. So I’m reducing my rating to 4 stars.My first issue was that the drive became unrecognizable on my MacBook Pro M1. The Mac couldn’t see the drive in Disk Utility or give any sign that the drive existed at all. Even more bizarre, when I plugged it into three other Macs, it worked fine. Eventually, I figured out that it was because I wasn’t using the original cable that came with it, which I think is perhaps a lightning cable or something, which apparently my MacBook Pro M1 really wanted. But to work on 3 other macs just fine with a regular USB-C cable? Bizarre. So there was quirk number one.Later on, when encrypting the drive, I either unplugged it too soon, or the operating system didn’t unmount it properly, and the drive became corrupted and this time, though showing up in DiskUtility, couldn’t be formatted or partitioned without failing with a strange error each time. Others on the internet who had this issue said they ultimately had to return the drive for a new one. I was about to return mine too, but then as a last-ditch effort, I borrowed a Windows 11 machine, which recognized the drive no problem. So I re-partitioned it there, and then brought it back to my Mac, where Disk Utility was happy to deal with it again.The third quirk is that often, my Mac refuses to eject the drive. Ventura, and Sonoma before it, almost always says the drive is in use, even when every program is closed. Spotlight isn’t indexing it. Maybe it’s because I have my primary Photos Library on it and it’s doing something in the background? But it’s not obvious, and I have to shut-down my computer almost every time to eject this disk. I’ll have to put more time into researching active processes to see what the deal is, but I just don’t have this issue with my other external drives. So again, Sandisk and Apple need to coordinate on this.So while I’d love to give this drive five stars, all these quirks on the Mac have wasted a lot of my time. And SanDisk (Western Digital) needs to really take a look at some of the compatibility issues with Mac and update the firmware / drivers on this.

fast and easy
This SanDisk SSD has been the best backup solution I’ve ever encountered. I use it with a Macbook pro. The initial backup may take some time, but subsequent backups only take a few minutes, whether daily or weekly. It’s incredibly lightweight and compact, allowing you to plug it into your laptop’s USB-C port and carry the laptop around without worrying about the SSD falling out or getting damaged. Its small size and light weight make it perfect for travel.

Amazing
This SanDisk is Amazing. As soon as I plugged it in my windows and my iMac it worked right away and it’s super-fast on Both machines. I was having an issue with other SSD’s where Windows did not see it. I think I’m going to buy another one soon. it’s fast, reliable, and perfect size to store in my backpack or in my pocket. I recommend it.

Resistente y con gran capacidad
Aunque he leído noticias de que estaban teniendo problemas con este producto por el Firmware, decidí comprar otro. Esta es mi segunda unidad y hasta ahora SanDisk no me ha decepcionado, y espero que tampoco lo haga. Mi opinión hasta la fecha, es de 11 de 10. En serio, SanDisk, sigue así. La entrega hasta Ecuador fue más que rápida, con Courier externos ha demorado mucho más. Puedes seguir tu envío en tiempo real, fue una experiencia gratificante de verdad. Como persona ciega que opina, puedo decir que toqué que el paquete no llegó aplastado, roto, ni manipulado. La unidad totalmente nueva y funcional. Gracias, Amazon. Espero no tener ningún problema con la unidad a futuro, y que su duración sea como la primera que compré, el 12/10/2022, y aún sigue en pie, ¡y no estoy mencionando que le he dado más que palo!

Big storage in a small package
This thing is durable. I feel pretty confident I could drop it or maybe even throw it at a wall and it would be fine. I got this for the sole purpose of storing family photos and I feel pretty good about the safety and longevity. It is definitely smaller then I had anticipated, but that’s not by any means a bad thing. I had no issues with connectivity or heating when transferring everything over and I did get the carrying case for it to add that extra safety factor. Great product so far 👌
